Here are five adjustments the Golden State Warriors should make in Game 4.

The Golden State Warriors are playing for their lives and their legacies.

The thought of a 73 win team not winning the title is preposterous so the possibility of said team not even making it to the Finals would (in the weird world of basketball) make this team the laughingstock of the NBA for the rest of time. For many, it would confirm that last year’s title was a “fluke” and that Stephen Curry isn’t the best player in basketball.

They’re down 2-1 against Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and the Oklahoma City Thunder with Game 4 in the hostile Chesapeake Bay Arena. The Warriors have been down 2-1 before, falling behind against the Memphis Grizzlies and the Cleveland Cavaliers last year, but they haven’t done so against a team like OKC. They are fighting an uphill battle.

After defeating the San Antonio Spurs, the Thunder’s confidence is at an all-time high. They are not the same team that they were in the regular season. Finally, they’ve come together to play cohesive basketball as a unit and the results are there. They eliminated the second best regular season team in the league and have the upper hand on the other.

The Warriors are still a great team, they’re just not playing well. Coach of the year Steve Kerr has been getting out coached by Billy Donovan thus far. The Warriors are a perfect 12-0 this season (including 3-0) in the playoffs following a loss.

It’s time for Kerr and the Warriors to pull out some more magic and make the proper adjustments to turn this series around. Here are five adjustments that the Warriors could (and probably should) make in Game 4.
