The Golden State Warriors defeated the Cavaliers in Game 2 of the NBA Finals. Here are some of the best quotes from last night.

The Golden State Warriors have taken a 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals, blowing out the Cleveland Cavaliers 110-77.

Compared to this game, the first game of the series was a close battle. In that contest, the Warriors also had control for most of the game. LeBron James had his team close the gap at points throughout the night, but Shaun Livingston and the Warriors were able to pull away in the fourth quarter, easily coasting to a series lead.

Game 2 wasn’t close as Golden State completely dominated. The Warriors were the much better team once again on both ends of the floor. After controlling the first two games of the series, it can be tempting for a team to take their foot off the gas. On the Internet, the Warriors are already bring crowned the 2016 NBA champs.

The Warriors are two wins away from their second NBA championship. They’ve dominated thus far, but the series is shifting to Cleveland. Andrew Bogut, who had four first quarter blocks, spoke on this after the game.

James won’t go down without a fight so he’ll surely have his team ready at home. The Warriors cannot rest on their laurels, they have to go out and execute at the Quicken Loans Arena.

MVP Stephen Curry echoed Bogut’s sentiments, talking about the Warriors can’t get too comfortable.

Perhaps Curry is being a little too modest. It looks as if the Warriors have the Cavs completely figured out and Cleveland cannot figure out Curry and co. Golden State seems to have the right counter for every move made by Tyronn Lue. But he is right in that the Warriors cannot just wait around and expect the final score to finish in their favor.

They say a series doesn’t start until the home team loses. The Warriors defended their home court much better than they did against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals. In Game 1 against OKC, the Warriors built a double digit lead at the half, but got complacent and let the game slip out of their hands.

Head coach Steve Kerr, who deserves part of the blame for their poor performances in the Western Conference Finals, spoke about the team handling it’s business at home.

That’s some next-level, Magic Johnson-esque analysis

Speaking of Johnson, Klay Thompson had a little fun at his father’s former team’s expense. Draymond Green was answering a question about whether or not he believes these Warriors are the greatest team of all-time. He dismissed it, pointing out at they still have two more wins to go before they can even be considered in the discussion.

Thompson wasn’t as diplomatic as his All-Star teammate, saying that the Warriors are better than those Showtime Los Angeles Lakers.

"ICYMI: Klay Thompson might be hearing from his father due to his comments after Game 2…"

Thompson has turned himself into one of the best players in the league, adding to his game every season. His biggest improvement might just be his quotes. He’s completely come out of his shell and has really blossomed into a fun interview.

The Warriors will look to take a commanding three game lead in Cleveland on Wednesday.
