Stephen Curry – Point Guard

When it comes to the Golden State Warriors’ starting lineup heading into next season, there is no question who will be starting at both guard spots. The unanimous MVP, Stephen Curry, will command the point guard position.

Aiming for a third-straight MVP, Curry is going to look to prove doubters wrong after a poor NBA Finals performance and he is really going to have to step his game up if he wants to be MVP for the third time, because voters are going to expect something even more spectacular than 73 wins and 400 three-pointers.

Simply put, Curry is going to have to up other facets of his game that might not be as strong, whether it’s on the defensive end of the floor or somewhere else. He’s also going to have to hit near those record numbers to get that third MVP.

It’s not his fault that he has to go above and beyond what others would have to do to win the award, but it’s because the bar has been set high and if he can set the bar even higher than he already did last year, the Warriors are in for another special season.
