Zaza Pachulia – Center

With the signing of Kevin Durant to the roster, the Golden State Warriors had to ship Andrew Bogut out to the Dallas Mavericks and they renounced their rights on center Festus Ezeli, who signed with the Portland Trail Blazers.

The good news is that they prepared for those departures by drafting Damian Jones in the draft. However, Jones won’t be forced into the starting lineup right away, because the team was able to land center Zaza Pachulia for cheap.

Compared to what other centers around the league were getting paid, Pachulia is an excellent addition to the Warriors and he turned down more money from elsewhere to sign with the team in free agency.

He is a solid center and can do a fine job in the post, which is all Golden State Will need him to do with the other superstars that are currently on the roster. He also is a tough player and will add yet another layer of toughness for when the team makes the playoffs.

Durant was the biggest signing, but signing Pachulia was a huge steal for Golden State, as he can step in and be the starting center on a championship team without issue.
