1. They practically are Team USA

Let’s call it like it is, the Golden State Warriors are pretty much Team USA. Without the Warriors in Team USA’s lineup, the country would be sending a sub-par roster in comparison to what they could actually be sending to the Olympics.

Courtesy of the Warriors, Team USA is already going to feature Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Kevin Durant. Those three alone could probably carry the country to gold anyways even with average players surrounding them.

Then there’s the fact that Stephen Curry chose to not partake this year, which means if he had gone, then Team USA would be absolutely loaded and everyone would get a chance to take a look at the brand new Warriors before they even put on their regular jerseys.

It’s one thing to say that Team USA would run over most teams in the NBA, which they would, but it’s another to say they would beat the Warriors. The Warriors are Team USA and that’s where the star power on the team generates from.

It’s no slight on the other superstars that make the team, but it’s going to be those three individuals from Golden State that will likely carry the team to gold if they work hard and play their best in August.
