Klay Thompson will reach levels of savagery you never expected
In a couple of years, people will debate whether John Wall and Bradley Beal make up a better backcourt than Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. Please don’t engage in said debate.
Shortly after that, there will be a very fierce argument over whether the Warriors should trade Thompson for Kevin Love. Sounds like a no brainer, right? This is a lanky kid out of Washington State who has shown flashes but been inconsistent his first couple of seasons, and you’re being offered a perennial All-Star, a deadly knockdown shooter, a big-man who can stretch the floor and cause nightmares for defenses in Kevin Love?
Well, the Warriors are going to say no, and it’s going to be the best decision ever. Klay is going to grow into one of the greatest legends in franchise history. The rookie who couldn’t drive to the basket or make a layup to save his life will add those to his repertoire fairly quickly. He will continue to be a lethal threat from downtown and develop into one of the best defenders in the league.
