NBA Finals Suspension

Remember all those points Green built up by having incidents through the first three rounds of the playoffs? Well like a valued customer at a fast food joint with his punch card filled out, Green was able to redeem all those points for a free suspension in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

In Game 4 of the NBA Finals, there was a moment between LeBron James and Green that led to words being said. It wasn’t fully realized until after the game and via replay, that Green went after the groin again and this led to him being suspended in a critical Game 5.

In Game 5, the Warriors were back on their home floor with a 3-1 series lead and a chance to claim an NBA Championship in front of their crowd. Because of his suspension, Green was across the parking lot and was enjoying the sights and sounds of the Oakland Athletics.

The Warriors would end up getting thrashed by a huge night from LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. With how good those two were, it’s hard to say that having Green would have stopped them.

Still, his behavior ultimately cost him and his team.
