Stephen Curry had one of the best seasons we’ve ever seen.
It didn’t end how the Golden State Warriors would have wanted and Curry’s struggles cannot be overlooked. But that doesn’t erase what happened.
On the court, he was marvelous. He shattered records effortlessly, dominating teams like no one else has before. Off the court, his stardom grew even more. Anything with a no. 30 on it flew off the shelves.
Next to LeBron James, he’s the league’s brightest star. He’s the NBA’s most marketable asset, appealing to all folks of all ages. In addition to being the face of the Warriors and the NBA, he’s Under Armour’s most prized possession.
UA had never been a major player in the basketball shoe game until they managed to steal Curry away from Nike. Now, they’re one of the most popular kicks in the business, competing with the big guns. Understanding that there is a huge market and want for their shoes, Under Amour consistently put out new colorways of this year’s Curry Two.
Last year, I compiled a list of the five best Curry Ones colorways. He followed up an incredible debut shoe with an amazing year and plenty of shoes to look at. Under Armour also released the Curry 2.5, but those were awful and will not be included in this list.
For this list, I’m judging based on look, significance, and performance. My method is really scientific, I swear!
