Draymond Green (2012-Present)

Draymond Green is one of the best players in basketball.

After dropping to the second round in the 2012 Draft, he’s worked at his game and become a revolutionary figure. He’s changing the way the game is looked at. Seemingly undersized, Green is one of the best rim protectors.

Green is the glue. He’s the heartbeat of some of the greatest teams of All-Time. He makes the Warriors’ Death Lineup go. He is the perfect complement to Steph Curry and Klay Thompson.

The Saginaw native just wrapped up his fourth season in the NBA and, despite ending in heartbreak, he still had an incredible season before. He helped lead the Warriors to a historic 73 wins one year after he helped the Warriors clinch their first title in forty years.

He’s an All-Star. He was also named to the Second Team All-NBA. He’s finished as a runner-up to Defensive Player of the Year two years in a row when he probably should have won, at least, one of them.

According to Basketball Reference, he’s top-10 in franchise history in Win Shares per 48 minutes, Box Plus/Minus, and Value Over Replacement Player.

All he’s done since joining the Golden State Warriors is win. His career averages of 8.7 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.4 assists aren’t all that impressive, but he just finished a season with career highs across the board.

Draymond Green has been at the center of some of the greatest basketball ever played.
