11. Draymond Green

Yup. Draymond Green is the 11th greatest Warrior of all-time. And you will accept it.

I know it seems odd placing a guy who averages 12.3 points and 9.2 rebounds for his career this high up on the list, but that’s the beauty of Draymond Green. He’s hard to quantify. Numbers will never do him justice.

He is the heart and soul of some of the greatest teams in NBA history. He’s a winner. He has been instrumental in the culture shift in the Bay Area. Everything about Draymond Green screams (sometimes literally) Warrior.

Green is been named to All-Star, All-NBA, and First Team All-Defense. He’s an NBA champion and Olympic Gold medalist. He was the second best player on a 73 win team. He’s the other player besides Gola to record three straight triple-doubles in team history. But, again, he’s so much more than that.

He’s revolutionizing the way that people think of the game of basketball. He’s an undersized power forward that dominates at the center position. He’s the glue that keeps some of the most creative and effective leagues in league history together. He’s taken the idea of small-ball and executed it to perfection, using incredible defensive abilities to really maximize those lineups.

Green is going to be a Warrior for a long time. He’s already one of the best players in the entire league. He’s developed from a late second round pick to a legitimate star who would have surely been in line to win Finals MVP if his team held on in 2016.

Draymond Green embodies the essence of the Warriors. This might seem like recency bias to some, but Green’s resumé and impact on the game as a whole make this an easy call.
