4. Chris Mullin
And now, we have the “C” in Run-TMC. Chris Mullin was a smooth dude. And a killer on the court.
He was a special offensive talent. Mullin could put the ball in the basket effortlessly. He was one of the best scorers in his time as he led the Warriors to five straight postseason appearances.
For his Golden State career, the lefty averaged 20.1 points per game while shooting 51.3 percent from the field. He scored at least 25 points per contest from 1988-1993. He thrived in Don Nelson’s offense, alongside Hardaway and Richmond.
He was a five-time All-Star with the Warriors. He also won his second gold medal as a member of the iconic Dream Team in 1992. He also made four All-NBA teams, including First Team in ’92.
The other two members of Run-TMC were spectacular, but Mullin was clearly the best. He was a knock-down shooter that shot over 45 percent from three for several years in his career. He was a star.
Mullin has had his number “17” jersey retired by the Warriors and rightfully so. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2011 and it was all because of his incredible 13 years in the Bay Area. He was the leader of some of the most dazzling and potent offensive teams in league history during an important time for Warriors basketball. No one has played
Chris Mullin is an NBA legend that elevated to star status as a Warrior. His smooth left-handed jumper, his Brooklyn accent, and his trademark flat top made him a beloved player in the Bay Area and one of the best to ever do it.
