The Golden State Warriors dropped their first game of the season. Here are some of the hottest takes following the loss on Twitter.

The Golden State Warriors have played one game with Kevin Durant. Believe it or not, the Warriors were not actually going to go 82-0. It’s hard to understand this, but the season is not decided after 48 minutes.

The new-look Warriors are going to take time to mesh. Rome wasn’t built in a day. It’s not easy to incorporate a new dynamic scorer. LeBron James’ Miami Heat were at .500 through their first 20 games when the Big Three came together.

But the hot takes are going to fly. Twitter loves to overreact to everything. There’s a weird sect of people that truly believe the Warriors got worse after adding one of the best players in the world.

Apparently, the Finals are won in the first game of the season over at Fox Sports 1.

Chris Broussard is going to stick with them with only 81 more games to go. He’s brave.

Apparently, many thought the Warriors were going to go 82-0. Losing was never a possibility for this team, I guess. They’re not allowed to have a bad game, especially in the beginning of the year.

Two former MVPs are not allowed to lose a game.

They’re still the best team in the league. The Warriors have the most talent in the entire NBA. They’re going to figure it out the more they play together. But folks wanted them to have it together on day one.

How dare you try to acknowledge that the first game of the season is just the first game of the season?!?!

I’m not even going to touch that, to be honest. Jay Mariotti is something else. Not even sure why I included him here, but hey, here we are.

That take was so hot it nearly melted my phone.

The rest of the NBA needs the Warriors to implode. One game doesn’t mean much in the grand scheme of things, but Steve Kerr did seem to get into Draymond Green at some point during the game. There’s an idea that Green is going to break this team up.

He’s an emotional player. He’ll probably get frustrated. But that’s only because he wants to win more than anything. He’ll get it together.

Here’s perhaps the granddaddy of the Twitter silliness.

The Warriors would have been stronger if they had a guy who shot 15.6 percent in Games 5-7 of the NBA Finals and 23.5 percent in the preseason instead of one of the greatest scorers in the history of the game. This one is perfect. Twitter is beautiful.

I could fill this piece up with a thousand hot takes. Just do a Twitter search with any combination of “Warriors,” “chemistry,” “Curry,” “Durant,” and “trash.” They’re all there.

The hot takes will fly after every Warriors loss. They’ll continue until they play again on Friday. Knowing Steph Curry and co., they’ll respond. Those guys hate losing.
