Kevin Durant is in prime position to put Lebron James on notice.

Kevin Durant and the Golden State Warriors have one thing in common coming into this match-up. They both need to put the league on notice that Lebron James and his thrown can be burned to the ground. The Warriors have beaten Lebron before so they have the game plan.

Now they also have the player that will put their plan over the top. Kevin Durant is a generational talent who fits perfectly within the Warriors’ system. He also is an elite shot creator that can render Cleveland’s advantage in star power useless. He has the size and all-around game to cancel out any Lebron James performance with an exhibition of his own.

The Warriors will be able to go to Durant and Curry with the shot clock late and not worry about double teams as there are too many weapons around. The idea of anyone stopping Durant but himself is asinine and unlikely. We can rest assured knowing that if any Warrior has this day circled on the calendar, and is absolutely ready for it, that guy is Kevin Durant.

The more frightening part is that the chemistry among the Warriors team will be better by this time and that could only bode for better results from Durant going forward. If Kevin Durant will be going toe to toe with James, this will be first flashes of it we will see, and we will definitely be watching every detail of it. If Durant takes care of business and the rest of team follows suit, a victory is all but imminent.
