All Star Game: Who Will Represent the Warriors?

In February in New Orleans, Golden State should be well represented at the All Star Game. Last season, the Warriors sent Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. This season, they should send four with the addition of Durant, an early MVP candidate.

All four should be locks, especially with the new voting format. In previous years, the fans decided who would start. This season, it will be a combination of votes from fans, players/coaches and writers. This season, it will not be a popularity contest but rather who is playing the best during the first half of the season.

This should benefit the Warriors because all four are having all-star seasons. The Warriors may have only one starter (Durant) because the numbers say that Russell Westbrook and James Harden will start over Curry. Green has an outside shot to start at power forward but it is more likely that Anthony Davis, Kawhi Leonard or Marc Gasol starts in his place.

Thompson will not be a starter either because of Westbrook and Harden. This is crazy because Thompson has arguably the best performance this season, scoring 60 points in less than three quarters. When it is all set and done, the Warriors will be sending four players to New Orleans.
