Kevin Durant will make his long awaited return home on Saturday night, when the Golden State Warriors take on the Oklahoma City Thunder.

There hasn’t been a game on the regular season schedule in the NBA that has been circle more times this year than the Golden State Warriors’ first trip to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder. The two teams have met in the bay twice, but everyone has been awaiting the return of Kevin Durant in Oklahoma City. The energy in the arena will be unlike anything that has been seen this year.

When Durant left for Golden State in free agency, it created a personal divide between he and Russell Westbrook. The latter has been waiting for his moment to get his against his former teammate and he will have his chance on Saturday night.

If anything, Durant has played arguably his two best games of the season thus far against the Thunder. However, performing at home in front of a crowd that is going to be on him all night will be a different story.

Oklahoma City has struggled with Golden State in both meetings this year and has had trouble containing the star power of the team. Westbrook is going to look to put up another one of his classic triple-double performances on the court.
