These photos will always be funny

For all intents and purposes, these are absolutely normal photos. For the most part, that is. The Klay Thompson one leaves a lot unanswered.

But even Klay’s is pretty average. His outfit isn’t horrible; he’s just in workout clothes. That’s what normal people wear to the gym all the time. We just hold professional athletes in certain photoshoots to different standards.

Draymond’s outfit is good. He doesn’t have a weird expression on his face or any strange props. His photo actually works, but since he plays under a microscope the Internet will find ways to make fun of it. And, to be honest, I’m glad it does.

Steph and KD are wearing really nice clothes. Steph looks like he’s ready for a date, opting for the more dressed up look. Durant is more casual and laid-back, wearing clothes that actually fit a human being of his size and stature.

Other players took similar pictures, but it’s the Warriors one that is, deservedly, getting all the hype. I’d be annoyed if I wasn’t a Warriors fan. They embarrass grown men on a daily basis so anytime you can make fun of them is a good thing.

There’s nothing really wrong with these pictures. But they will always be hilarious. For whatever reason, they just don’t work. There’s just something about them that takes normal outfits and poses and just turns them into awful pieces.

Hopefully Golden State continues to do them because Twitter’s responses are amazing. Unless they really do prevent teams from winning championships. Then they need to burn every non-basketball outfit in their closet and hide from cameras forever.
