The Golden State Warriors finally lost back-to-back games for the first time in over two years and it wasn’t pretty.

94. 24. 87. 41. Final

The thing about the Golden State Warriors is that they go on some truly ridiculous streaks. Whether it was 73-9, the home winning streak and the back-to-back losses streak. Unfortunately, every one of those streaks has to come to an end at some point. At long last, the team has finally loss back-to-back games for the first time in almost two years.

Everyone knows that there is going to be an adjustment period for the Warriors as they deal without Kevin Durant for a while, but they continued to struggle shooting on Thursday night. The Chicago Bulls have this weird streak where they don’t lose home games on TNT and they brought their best against Golden State.

Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson have both really struggled to shoot the ball on this road trip. Without Durant there to back them up, it spelled certain doom for Golden State and the Bulls pulled out the close win at home.

There’s plenty of frustration to go around right now. The Warriors aren’t playing their best basketball, they’re in a shooting slump and they have lost one of their superstars for the time being. This is the time of the year when teams ramp up the playoff push and Golden State perhaps is at their lowest point in a couple of years.

The Warriors will now have to get things turned around and hope their shooting stroke comes back soon. They still have their lead for best record in the league but they have to go on a streak and string together some wins to boost morale. Every team faces adversity and it has arrived for Golden State.
