After the Warriors went through great trouble of spotting Atlanta 42 points in the first quarter, they held them to 69 points over the final three quarters. That’s another thing the Warriors have done often this season. They spot a team a 40-point first quarter and then cut off their offense the rest of the way.
Back to the shooting however. If there’s a positive sign from the 119-111 win, it’s the fact that Stephen Curry wasn’t afraid to hoist up 15 three-point field goals. He even made six of them to help his team out. The only way he’s going to get out of the funk is by shooting himself out of it.
As the Hawks led at the half, 66-61, Golden State did what they did best and came out guns blazing. Andre Iguodala was the MVP of this game for Golden State. Without Kevin Durant, Iguodala pumped in 24 points off the bench in 35 huge minutes of play.

Perhaps the play of the night was Curry hitting a three while Dennis Schröder and Dwight Howard were busy arguing. It just felt like the swagger was back for Golden State in a big win on the road on the back end of a back-to-back set.
Hopefully this win will put the Warriors on enough of a roll that they can begin to inch toward clinching the best record in the Western Conference. It’s back to the Oracle for a home tilt against the Boston Celtics.
