The Golden State Warriors have a chance to get revenge on the Boston Celtics for ending their NBA record home-winning streak last season.
When the Golden State Warriors won 73 games in the regular season last year, it’s hard to think of any down points before the playoffs. If there is one that will stick out, it’s the tough loss that they suffered to the Boston Celtics at home, 109-106. While a home loss to the Celtics probably doesn’t raise an eyebrow, it should be noted that the Warriors had a 54-game winning streak at home.

The Warriors were all about records last year and with the amount of wins they racked up, it’s not surprising they were so successful at home. They have one of the best home advantages in the NBA and the Celtics solidified themselves by pulling off the major upset. It was a defining moment for Isaiah Thomas as a member of the Celtics.
Now, the two teams will meet again on Wednesday night. It could also potentially be an NBA Finals preview, if Boston is able to pull the upset against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. These two teams have met already this year in Boston, with the Warriors picking up the win on the road.
However, it’s different at home this time with the memory of last year. The Warriors seemed to get their swagger back in their last game against the Atlanta Hawks. The team made 20 threes and Stephen Curry started to find his shot again.

They’re catching the Celtics at the right time too. Boston has dropped two games in a row on their road trip and there’s been a little frustration over the losses. Now the Celtics have to take on their toughest task of the road trip yet against Golden State.
After an extended road trip out east, the Warriors are back at home and will look to put on a show in front of their fans. Being back at home is exactly what this team needs to keep their winning streak going and beating the Celtics would provide plenty of more momentum.
