Golden State Warriors embarrass Oklahoma City Thunder again
The Golden State Warriors embarrassed the Oklahoma City Thunder once again while Stephen Curry continued to remind everyone he’s back.
The Oklahoma City Thunder have to be absolutely sick of the Golden State Warriors at this point. On Monday night, the Warriors swept the season series against the Thunder and they were able to do so without Kevin Durant this time.

Despite the fact that Durant wasn’t on the floor this time, the animosity was still there. The cupcakes were in the crowd, Stephen Curry got everyone tangled up and into a scuffle and the fans booed Durant as he came out through the tunnel.
It may not be a rivalry since Golden State swept the season series with ease, but the bad blood is there and it’s very real. As for the game itself, this was the continuation of a trend we have seen since last week for Golden State.
After the struggles and low points, the Warriors have now won four in a row and three straight in blowout fashion. It was certainly acceptable to be skeptical with two of the blowouts being over Eastern Conference opponents, but to blow out the Thunder and make it four in a row shows this team has got their groove back.
Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson certainly were in form as they usually are. The duo combined to make 14 three’s and combine for 57 points. Curry’s three at the end of the first half was more of that personality we’ve come to see from him when Golden State is at their best.

While the Warriors were certainly having fun at the Thunder’s expense again and beating them soundly, Russell Westbrook did not have his best game. He failed to record a triple-double and his stats were well below par by even his standards. He finished with just 15 points, eight rebounds and seven assists on the night.
So now, the Warriors maintain their lead at the top of the Western Conference and have adjusted to life without Durant. This is exactly where fans were hoping this team would be when Durant did go down and now they’re finally there.
