Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green explained his reasoning for punching Houston Rockets guard James Harden’s wrist on Friday night.

More from Warriors News

You know the Golden State Warriors are playing their best basketball when there’s yet another controversy surrounding forward Draymond Green. On Friday night, the Warriors were able to come back and defeat the Houston Rockets in an exciting battle at the Oracle Arena. The big moment everyone is talking about is Green punching Harden’s injured wrist.

After the game, Green was asked by reporters about the incident (Via Anthony Slater) and didn’t shy away from his actions. He mentioned that he did it because Harden pinched him and went on to say that it’s something he does. To take it another level, he referred to Harden as “adolescent.”

Green now has his next big feud in the NBA. We’ve seen the Rockets and Warriors go at it plenty of times considering their current playoff history. However, this feels like it’s reaching another level with a potential feud on the horizon.

One thing is for sure and that if these two meet each other in the Western Conference Finals, it will be one that no one will want to miss. With two great offenses, it’s just not a series that anyone will want to miss.

It will be interesting to see if there’s any repercussions here. Green didn’t exactly deny it either. However, playing with that edge and not backing down has been his style for years and it isn’t going to go away anytime soon.

With 10 straight wins on the books now, the Warriors are in a groove they’ve been waiting to hit for a while. They’re hitting threes, Green is involved in feuds, Kevin Durant will be back soon and the playoffs are around the corner. This is exactly where they want to be.
