According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, the Golden State Warriors are aiming to have Kevin Durant return against the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday night.

Things just couldn’t get any better right now for the Golden State Warriors. The team is on an 11-game winning streak and have the top seed in the Western Conference all but locked up. Stephen Curry is playing like an MVP and the team is rolling into the playoffs as they should be.

To make things even better, they’re going to be getting Kevin Durant back into the fold soon. It turns out that he’s going to be able to get some games on the floor to adjust before the playoffs even begin. On Monday, ESPN’s Marc Stein reported that the Warriors are targeting Saturday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans as the return night.

Having him return against the Pelicans would allow for him to get his legs under him before the playoffs even begin. It might take a little longer to gel but the Warriors are so far ahead of the eighth seed that it will be even more games for him to get right before the real swing of the playoffs even begins.

Durant has been warming up with the team and has looked good in his appearances on the floor before games. The team has been very cautious with his knee and it has been over a month since he last took the floor with the team.

If blowing great teams out and looking like the team that won 73 games last year wasn’t enough, they’re now getting another MVP back into the fold. If he’s healthy and able to be the player he was before he got hurt, then the Warriors should be well on their way to another NBA Championship this season.
