Great personnel moves ahead of the trade deadline have pushed the Trail Blazers back into the playoffs this season. Damian Lillard is confident in his team and despite the Warriors sweeping the regular season, he feels his team will win.

Even more important is the fact that this will be the first playoff series with Kevin Durant in a Warriors uniform. This is where his value is ultimately going to pay off for Golden State, as he was brought in to make them champions again.

Stephen Curry has been playing his best basketball of the season to end the year and has pushed himself into the MVP conversation, even if he isn’t going to win. The two-time MVP has gotten that swagger back that has made him who he was the past few years.

The expected battle here will be Curry and Lillard trying to shoot their way to a victory. Both of these point guards love to answer the other with big shots. The Trail Blazers would love nothing more than to steal Game 1, while the Warriors would love nothing more than a blowout victory.
