It could be a bit of a different look for Golden State. Kevin Durant’s status is still up in the air and Steve Kerr is sick. There’s a chance that Durant could be out yet again and Kerr might not be coaching from the bench.

Still, it’s unlikely that Kerr would miss a playoff game at this point in the season. The Warriors proved in Game 2 that they didn’t need Durant to take care of Portland. Their defense and shot selection led to a blowout victory over Portland.

The unsung hero of the game was center JaVale McGee. He sparked a run in the second quarter that gave Golden State life and carried over into the second half. With Portland shuffling their bigs around, McGee should have a huge impact in this one again.

Look for Draymond Green to be the defensive ace again. He’s proven that his defensive effort leads to big runs on the offensive end. With Portland at home and in front of a rowdy crowd, Green will have to match that energy early and often.

Of course, with Shaun Livingston out as well, it will provide more opportunities for Patrick McCaw. The rookie out of UNLV got plenty of shine in Game 2 and should continue to get more minutes on Saturday night. After not winning a Game 3 in the playoffs last year, Golden State would like to reverse that trend.
