The Golden State Warriors had no trouble finishing off the sweep of the Utah Jazz in the Western Conference Semifinals on Monday night.

Final. 95. 118. 121. 41

If there’s an easier way to sweep an opponent, the Golden State Warriors probably will probably be the ones to accomplish such a feat. On Monday night, the Warriors finished off their sweep of the Utah Jazz and this could go down as a forgotten series simply based on how quick it went.

For virtually leading almost the entire season and only trailing a mere fraction of minutes, Golden State has made it eight wins in a row to start the playoffs. Like the Cleveland Cavaliers, they are sweeping their way deep into the postseason and the two teams seem destined to run into each for the third year in a row.

The fourth and final game of this series was over from the beginning. The Warriors jumped out to a 22-point lead after one quarter of play and that was all they needed, as the Jazz were forced to scrape and claw back into things.

In fairness to the Jazz, they had quite the second quarter that broke down Golden State’s lead. Unfortunately, the Warriors were able to turn the heat back up and push this thing to the end in the second half.

After making several comments on just about every topic in the league on Monday, Draymond Green made sure to back it up with his play. He worked his way into another triple-double performance and was the spark on both ends for Golden State.

His assist to Klay Thompson in the fourth quarter sealed the playoff feat. If the Jazz had their best chance to take Game 3 with Thompson and Stephen Curry cold, they weren’t awarded that same luxury in this one.

The duo combined to shoot 18-31 from the field and they sunk Utah with a combined 51 points. Curry sticking his tongue out and dancing was a sure sign that the team was right where they needed to be to advance to the Western Conference Finals.

Like last round, they’re going to await the winner of a long playoff series. There will be plenty of debate about whether or not the San Antonio Spurs or the Houston Rockets are the preferred opponent, but for now it’s time for the team to get more rest and let the other teams grind it out.
