Golden State Warriors stomp Spurs in Game 2
The Golden State Warriors crushed the San Antonio Spurs to extend their lead in the Western Conference Finals.

From the very beginning, the team delivered the knockout punch and was off to the races. Stephen Curry was racking up points and making ridiculous plays, just ask Dewayne Dedmon, en route to another MVP performance of a night.
By the time the opening frame had come to a close for Golden State, the Warriors were already up 17 and the crowd at Oracle Arena was feeling it, as they cheered their team toward a 10th straight victory to begin the playoffs.
In the second quarter, the Spurs finally began to find their offensive touch from the floor. However, Golden State found theirs even more. A barrage of outside shots and clean looks allowed Golden State to compile 39 points and push their lead to 28.
With a 28-point advantage at the half and the Spurs reeling without their leader on the floor, Golden State got to empty the bench and really let their younger players get some important minutes.

Patrick McCaw turned in perhaps his finest playoff outing date. The rookie out of UNLV turned in 18 points to go with five assists. With the game out of hand, the Spurs emptied their bench as well and punted the series until Saturday night.
Now, Golden State will head to San Antonio for two games. They shouldn’t expect things to just be easy when they get there. It’s a hostile environment and a city that they have struggled in mightily before. If Kawhi Leonard is back on the floor, everything changes.
