The Golden State Warriors will need to do a lot of different things to get their revenge against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Golden State Warriors are heading into the NBA Finals as the favorites to win the title. They had the best regular season in the league for the third straight year. They’ve also swept their way into this final series.

The Warriors will be facing the Cleveland Cavaliers, the team they’ve battled with over the last two years. In 2015, the Dubs got the best of a Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love-less Cavs squad. In 2016, Cleveland played spoiler and prevented the Warriors from becoming the undisputed greatest team of all-time.

Golden State is the favorite. They will have homecourt advantage. They boast the gaudier roster.

But LeBron James is suiting up on the opposite side. Whenever he steps onto the court, you’re never really in control. That’s how special he is.

So while the Warriors may have a small edge, James can close the gap more quickly than he does when he flies for his signature chase down blocks. The Cavaliers’ Big Three is better than they were a year ago when they celebrated a title on the Oracle Arena floor. They are tough.

The Warriors know that nothing is guaranteed. They established themselves as the greatest regular season team of all-time when they built a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals. Suddenly, that lead disappeared and they suffered the worst failure in professional sports history.
