The Golden State Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. Here are the 10 best moments from that game.

Game 1 of the NBA Finals was very fun. That is, if you’re on the Golden State Warriors side of things. I don’t imagine the Cleveland Cavaliers enjoyed it too much.

It was great basketball. The Warriors had 31 assists and just four turnovers. It’s hard to lose when you pass and take care of the ball like that. It’s also really nice to watch as a spectator.

Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant were spectacular. Despite their best efforts, LeBron James and Kyrie Irving couldn’t will their team to victory. Kevin Love’s 21 rebounds weren’t enough either because the rest of the Cavaliers didn’t come along for the ride.

While only Curry and Durant scored in double digits for the Warriors, everyone else stepped up in other ways. Their defense was stifling, forcing Cleveland to take tough shots. The movement was quick and hard.

Oracle Arena roared with every pass, cut, and shot that the Warriors took. The benches celebrated the process of coming away with a huge first game win. Once Golden State got rolling, it was a raucous celebration inside of the arena.

There were a lot of highlights in the Warriors’ 113-91 Game 1 win. It isn’t time to rest yet because Golden State still has a lot of work left to do, it’s a very good start. It’s always nice to draw first blood in a series.
