The Golden State Warriors were blown out in Game 4 of the NBA Finals. They now have a chance to win a championship at home in Game 5.

The Golden State Warriors had a chance to cap off the most incredible playoff run in NBA history  They were 48 minutes away from perfection, but the Cleveland Cavaliers had other plans. The Cavs won Game 4 137-116.

This was all bad from the start for the Warriors. The Cavaliers had plenty of energy out of the gate. Down 3-0, they were fighting for their playoff lives.

The Cavaliers hit tough shots over and over again and got into an early rhythm. Even when the Warriors got in their face, it didn’t matter. Cleveland hit 24 three-pointers on 53 percent shooting on the night. They put on an absolute shooting clinic.

The Cavs scored 49 points in the first quarter. Golden State couldn’t recover after that. They lost control of the game.

The referees also lost control. There were seven technical fouls assessed. There were also several reviews for flagrant fouls. It was a mess that the league should be embarrassed about.

Kevin Durant continued his strong play. He had 35 points, 4 assists, and 4 rebounds. At times, it seemed like he was the only Warrior with any kind of fight in him.

Stephen Curry, who had been terrific all series long, had his first bad game of the Finals. The Cavaliers were physical with him and he couldn’t get space. Curry had just 14 points and was 2/9 from three.

The Cavs poured it in today. The officials were bad. The Golden State Warriors did not execute. All three happened.

The Warriors will have a chance to close it out on their home court in Game 5. For now though, they hold a 3-1 lead.
