The Golden State Warriors lost Game 4 of the NBA Finals, but it is actually a good thing.

The Golden State Warriors looked unstoppable through the first two games of the NBA Finals. The Dubs followed up those two dominant performances with a tough win in Game 3. They went on an 11-0 run at the end of the fourth quarter to steal the road game away from the Cleveland Cavaliers.

On the precipice of perfection, the Warriors couldn’t finish the job. The perfect postseason was there for the taking, but they couldn’t make history. The Cleveland Cavaliers had other plans.

The Cavs were energized. LeBron James had his team ready to fight for their season. They came out firing and ran Golden State out of the gym.

They bounced back and forced a Game 5. The two teams will do battle again in Oracle Arena on Monday. Both teams have to feel good about their chances.

The Warriors are going home where they’ve played extremely well. They are in the driver’s seat. They have the most talented roster in the league and, possibly, ever.

No one wants to lose ever, but especially not in the NBA Finals. The Warriors will do their best to make sure that Game 4 is their only loss. Even though some Golden State fans may start sweating, the loss was good for them.

Here are three reasons why the Warriors’ Game 3 loss was a good thing. Though a sweep would have been fun to see, Golden State can turn losing into a positive as they move forward in their quest to win a championship.
