James Michael McAdoo

The Golden State Warriors have gotten veterans rings over the last few years, but they have given some golden opportunities to young players as well. James Michael McAdoo is one of those guys that has gotten championship experience at a young age.

However, he plays at a position where he’s just not going to get the minutes and development that he needs on this Warriors team. He hasn’t played much in his career and only has a handful of starts to his credit.

Much like the boat that Kevon Looney could soon be finding himself in, McAdoo’s likely going to have to latch on with another team if he is able to get a contract somewhere. He’s young enough at 24 that there is certainly going to be a team out there interested in him.

The development for him wasn’t astronomical, yet he managed to find his way onto the floor every now and then. This is one of those cases where he can take what he learned in the bay and use it to maybe improve his game with a bigger role elsewhere.

With no room for him really, the Warriors aren’t going to waste a roster spot or increase their luxury tax bill here. It just doesn’t make sense financially for the team or McAdoo to return to a crowded roster.

Verdict: No
