Ian Clark

When it comes to young players that earned a bigger role with the Golden State Warriors, Ian Clark was one of those players. He grew into a bigger role over the past few years and was a key bench contributor this year.

This was a situation where many felt that he was going to go make a lot more money in free agency than what the Warriors could offer. With the rise of Patrick McCaw and plenty of guards on the roster already, he didn’t have much fit on a crowded roster either.

While he still hasn’t signed anywhere yet, the Warriors don’t have more than a minimum and need to use any money to address the backup center position. As the summer draws on and teams look to fill out their roster, some team is going to come along and pay Clark more than what Golden State can.

It might not be as much as he was hoping to make entering free agency, but he could be a big bench option for a younger team looking for veterans. His role is likely going to be larger wherever he goes and he has the experience to start games if needed.

Verdict: No
