Doc Rivers

One of Draymond Green’s earlier classic moments came back in 2015. When the Los Angeles Clippers were still considered a rival to the Golden State Warriors, Green and Doc Rivers had a nice brief exchange.

After Green didn’t like the way that Dahntay Jones had bumped him in a game, Rivers lauded the efforts of Jones in an interview with the LA Times. He basically insinuated that Green was a fake tough guy and approved of what Jones did.

Green then had a great comeback of his own and called Rivers by his own first name. It was a very quick response, but it was enough to show that he wasn’t going to back down from anyone no matter the situation.

This was before Green had really refined his trash talking. However, it wouldn’t matter much anymore as Green and the Warriors would go on to win two rings and have a 73-win season since that time.

They also destroyed the Clippers in regular season battles and basically saw the end of their run while looking down from the top. Green gets the last laugh and now Rivers figures out where to go from here.
