5. Kevin Durant getting roasted at the ESPYS

While Kevin Durant has been roasting plenty of people on Twitter in the offseason, he was subject to the biggest roasting treatment yet. As Peyton Manning hosted The 25th ESPYS, he didn’t miss his opportunity to land a great jab against a fellow professional MVP.

Manning commented on how strong the U.S. Women’s Gymnastics team was and said that Durant would be joining them next season. The camera then panned to Durant, who did not appear to find the joke very funny at all.

Everyone else was laughing, including Durant’s mother. Manning turned to Russell Westbrook, who tried not to say anything or show any emotion. It was a fantastic burn and one of the best moments in the history of the show.

It was painfully obvious that Durant was in on the joke, especially considering the fact that his own mother was laughing. However, he put on some solid acting chops and made sure to provide a moment that won’t be forgotten.

Manning has always been one of the most professional athletes ever. He did a great job hosting the show and this was his crowning moment. The good news for Durant was that he would win “Best Championship Performance” later in the night.
