Stephen Curry impresses in pro golf debut
Stephen Curry, the superstar basketball player, turned his hobby into something bigger by impressing in his pro golf debut.
Stephen Curry is living his best life right now. He just won his second NBA championship. He then signed a huge, record-breaking $201 million deal. He gets to celebrate all of this with his beautiful family, especially his extremely successful wife.
For years, Warriors fans knew that Curry loved to golf. He’s taking it to another level now and it’s working. He’s going from golfing for fun to golfing at a professional level.

Curry made his pro golf debut at the Ellie Mae Classic at TPC Stonebrae in Hayward, California. Leading up to the event there was some criticism about his participation. Some argued that he was taking the spot away from a more worthy golfer.
He was taking a spot away from an actual golfer, not a basketball player who likes to occasionally play. Many expected Curry to crash and burn. They claimed that despite the fact that he may be a solid golfer when he’s playing for fun, the course would be too difficult and the competition too fierce for him to see any kind of success.
Curry isn’t the type of competitor you count out though. He impressed in his pro golf debut. He shot 4-over-74. He started off by driving a ball into a cup holder in a golf cart. Though he ended with a bogey and missed a few sinkable shots, he was fantastic.

In order to advance, Curry is going to have to have a great second round. Even if he doesn’t make it to Saturday, he still accomplished something few thought he could. He held his own against pro golfers.
