Here are the top 5 games from the upcoming 2017-18 schedule for the Golden State Warriors.

The Golden State Warriors will start their NBA title defense on October 17th against the Houston Rockets at Oracle Arena.

The Warriors re-signed almost their entire team with the exceptions of Ian Clark and James Michael McAdoo. General manager Bob Myers and owner Joe Lacob bolstered their “embarrassment of riches” team by trading for Jordan Bell, the 38th pick in this year’s draft, out of Oregon from the Chicago Bulls and signed sharpshooters Nick Young and Omri Casspi.

The talent level in the Western Conference has grown even stronger with the Rockets acquiring elite point guard Chris Paul from the Los Angeles Clippers, Paul George getting traded from the Pacers to the Thunder to team up with 2017 MVP Russell Westbrook and Jimmy Butler reuniting with former coach Tom Thibodeau and playing with young talent in Karl Anthony-Towns and Andrew Wiggins.

Those teams have reloaded their roster with all-star talent ready to challenge the defending champs.

Before I dive into the top 5 games of the Warriors schedule for next season, I’d like to have an honorable mention because it’s hard to have a top 5 of anything without an honorable mention.

The honorable mention game is a game that just quite doesn’t crack the top 5, but is still a good game to consider.
