The Golden State Warriors may be a shoo-in for the title, but they still remain one of the most entertaining teams in professional sports for a number of different reasons.

Around two NBA seasons ago, I wrote a piece titled “Why I (Also) Hate the Golden State Warriors” for FanSided’s Bay Area sports site, Golden Gate Sports. Playing on an idea presented by writer Yago Colás, I argued that the Warriors were no longer fun to watch because they were predictably dominant.

And in an ironic twist of fate, the Warriors blew a 3-1 lead in the Finals to the Cleveland Cavaliers, marking the first time any team had given up a 3-1 lead to lose out on the NBA title.

So in my first post as the new co-expert at Blue Man Hoop, I want to take this time to take back what I said: the Warriors will always be an entertaining team to follow. They will always be the team to watch. Anyone who says different is simply unable to appreciate greatness or completely unable to comprehend what they’re watching.

Or maybe, like me, they’re just jumping the gun WAY too soon.

But if there’s one thing to take away from the Warriors blowing a 3-1 lead, it’s that this team — while perfectly capable of being incredibly dominant — still isn’t perfect. Anything can happen. They aren’t as predictable as some people would argue. Things aren’t as certain as the big time media would have you believe. I could name a million different reasons to support this notion.

Unfortunately, I gotta get back to my editing duties soon, so here’s my short list of five reasons why the 2017-18 Golden State Warriors remain insanely fun to watch.
