5. Nick Young and JaVale McGee are on the same team

I didn’t really think too much about the consequences of pairing JaVale McGee with Swaggy P, but I can now honestly say that I’m here for it.

I mean, I was ecstatic when the Golden State Warriors announced that former Shaqtin’ a Fool MVP JaVale McGee would be remaining with the team after training camp. Despite his occasional antics, there was a great deal to like about McGee’s game, and he ended up making quite the mark on a team in need of an athletic big man.

I was just as ecstatic when Golden State finalized their deal with Nick Young, as well. While Young is just as much a goofball as McGee, there is no denying that Young has the makings of a solid NBA shooting guard.

Note the fact that their close friendship stems from their tenure with the Washington Wizards almost a decade ago, and you have the makings of a dynamic duo that’s bound to do some notable things throughout the season — for better, or for worse.

Whatever the case, the friendship between Young and McGee is definitely on a level worthy of aspiration.
