3. The Bay Area is ready to get Swaggy

The only Warrior who could be happy about last night was new addition Nick Young. Swaggy P made a splash in his debut, scoring a team-leading 23 points on 6 of 7 three point shooting.

If the Dubs had pulled off the win, there’s no doubt that Young would have been the story of the night. He helped keep the team afloat when Curry got in foul trouble. Oracle lapped it up – every three he made raised the roof higher and higher. When he sat down in the second quarter, chants of “Swaggy P” (in the tune of M-V-P) filled the arena.

He still has a way to go to be a full fledged Warrior. Despite leading the team in points, he had a team low -10 RPM on the game. He got winded by the fourth quarter, and wasn’t hustling on defense or fitting into the flow of the offense. That will come in time though.

For now, Warriors fans can be happy that there is a new charismatic goofball on the team who clearly has potential.
