Golden State Warriors: 5 things we learned from Opening Night

2. Be prepared for some kooky Kerr rotations
Several fans were befuddled at some curious lineups that Coach Steve Kerr threw out during the game. 12 players were used in total, none more surreal than seeing Kevon Looney on the court during crunch time.
There were some extended circumstances: Andre Iguodala was out for the game, Draymond got hurt, Steph got in foul trouble early. But this is what Kerr likes to do. He takes his slogan “strength in numbers” very seriously.
He wants guys like Looney to get reps during the season so they’ll be comfortable in the playoffs. Even though rookie Jordan Bell got exposed by Houston early in the game, Kerr let him play more. Other coaches would send him to the bench permanently.
