3. Draymond Green

Draymond Green hasn’t been is usual self on the defensive end, but he’s remained incredibly productive through the first five games of the season. Thus far, he’s averaged 9.0 points, 8.2 rebounds, 8.4 assists and 1.2 steals in 33 minutes.

On Wednesday night, Green notched a double-double on 15 points and a team-high 11 rebounds, adding in six assists, two steals and one block in 37 minutes. He also shot 4-of-7 (57.1 FG%) from the field, 1-of-2 from behind the arc and 6-of-6 from behind the arc.

Additionally, Green finished a +11 on the night, which was the second-highest plus-minus rating from any Warriors player on Wednesday.

The reigning Defensive Player of the Year understands the team’s defense has been less than satisfactory thus far in the season and far from what any of us expected, but if anyone can be relied upon to help improve the team’s defensive effort, it’s Draymond Green.
