Antonius Cleveland

Warriors fans will likely recognize Antonius Cleveland‘s name from his time as a training camp invite with Golden State. Though he only appeared in one game for the Warriors during the preseason, he showed a great deal of potential posting eight points, two rebounds and two steals in just 5.7 minutes of play against the Denver Nuggets.

The 23-year-old, 6-foot 6 guard went undrafted in the 2017 NBA Draft despite a number of solid pre-draft workouts. He posted modest numbers in six appearances with the Portland Trail Blazers during the 2017 Las Vegas Summer League, averaging 5.8 points (40.6 FG%) and 1.6 rebounds in 14.7 minutes.

Cleveland has the tools to develop into an all-around NBA shooting guard. As the primary scoring option at Southeast Missouri State, Cleveland averaged 16.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.4 steals, and 0.9 blocks per game in 32.9 minutes, shooting 54.3 percent from the field and 38.4 percent from behind the arc.

If Cleveland can improve his shooting over the course of this season with Santa Cruz, he’ll be one step closer to realizing his NBA dream.
