Golden State Warriors at Boston Celtics: Top 3 plays from 92-88 loss
2. Reverse
The Andre Iguodala reverse dunk is always a welcome surprise. Just when it seems Iguodala has lost all his bounce, he reminds us that age is nothing but a number.
This play was extremely nice: with a little over 9:40 left in the second quarter, the Warriors executed a motion weak action with Shaun Livingston passing it to Iguodala on the wing, who hits Draymond Green at the top of the key for the swing pass.
Livingston goes shallow on the cut to receive the ball, which sets up the pick-and-roll opportunity with David West. Livingston opts to forgo the screen and pick-and-pop counter, driving in to eventually find Iguodala on the backdoor cut.
But instead of attempting the reverse layup, Iguodala smartly takes a dribble to find his balance and position himself underneath the basket, rising up for the reverse two-handed throwdown.
This was one of my favorite plays of the night, and it’s a shame that no one had a high-definition recording of this sequence.
