The Golden State Warriors unexpectedly lost 106-110 to the Sacramento Kings on Monday at Oracle Arena.

The reigning NBA champion Golden State Warriors lost 106-110 to the Sacramento Kings at Oracle Arena on Monday, and I have to sorely admit right off the bat that I honestly still can’t believe it.

While the 15-6 Dubs remain slotted at the second seed in the Western Conference, it definitely should feel good to lose to a team holding a regular season record of 6-14, which is just one spot above last place in the West and only four spots from being the worst record in the entire league.

Although it’s true the absence of Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant may have served too severe a blow to the team’s normal gameplan, the truth of the matter is this was a very winnable game. The Dubs had five players finish in double-digit scoring, including Klay Thompson (21), Patrick McCaw (16), Draymond Green (14), Andre Iguodala (11) and Shaun Livingston (10).

In the grand scheme of things, this game is merely a minor setback, but this loss only accentuated the fact that the Warriors haven’t consistently looked like the same dominant team we’re used to seeing.

Nevertheless, there were a few instances in this game that proved this team is but a couple tweaks away from getting back on track — three of which I want to highlight specifically.
