Kevin Durant joined the NBA’s 20,000-point club last night. Let’s take a look at how he compares with some of the other NBA legends in that group.
And with that smooth, cold-blooded, picture-perfect jump shot, Kevin Durant joined one of the most-exclusive invite-only clubs in NBA history.
In his 11th season, Durant became the second-youngest player ever (behind friend and on-court foe LeBron James) and the fifth player all-time to score 20,000 points before the age of 30.
The other four? They, like KD, all go by a one-name basis: the aforementioned LeBron. Wilt. Kobe. And…Jordan.
I mean, come on; you put these five in the same lineup and that team is easily winning it all after scoring the first basket of the first game of the PRESEASON (that’s just how lethal they would be together).
His 25th point of the night gave him 20,000 points for his career. Congrats Kevin Durant! #NBAVote pic.twitter.com/KOSIrL5jkQ

The wonderful thing about history and the ongoing discussion of “What if?” is that we, as fans, have the opportunity to go back and look at the numbers to see how they compare. And that’s exactly what we’re going to do.
Let’s take a look back at the numbers the other four legends put up in their 20,000th-point game just to give a little perspective to the rarefied air Durant now breathes.
