Conclusion

When the Warriors return to Oakland, they should have a 37-10 record. This is all hinging on a healthy roster because without Curry, this road trip could be a disaster. Curry sets the tempo for this team, making shots easier for all of his teammates, including Durant. Curry’s absence was definitely apparent with only Durant getting great shots with regularity. Everyone else struggled to get in a good rhythm.

The Warriors may not care too much about this road-trip because their ultimate goal is winning another championship. But going 5-0 or 4-1 would send a powerful message to the entire NBA that no one will touch this team on their way to back-to-back championships.

Beating the Cavaliers for a second time would devastate them and same goes for the Rockets. Both teams are obsessed with beating the Warriors. It was clearly evident when the Rockets beat the Warriors on opening night. They celebrated like they won the championship even though it was a meaningless opener.

On paper, this is the most daunting road-trip the Warriors have ever faced in the Kerr era. But in reality, if the Warriors are healthy, this will just be another test on their way to another championship.
