Klay Thompson and Draymond Green Named All-Star Reserves
By Andrew Ites
Steph Curry and Kevin Durant were already selected to the All-Star team as starters. Their teammates Klay Thompson and Draymond Green will join them in Los Angeles as All-Star reserves.
While the Warriors’ two former MVP’s were shoe-ins to make the All-Star team, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green looked to be on the fringes of the All-Star roster. Thompson and Green will both reportedly make the team as reserves, which will give the Warriors four players on the All-Star roster this season.
Thompson and Green will be waiting to be picked by Steph Curry, who was named a captain for the All-Star game last week. In the game’s new format, Curry will be able to stack his team with Warriors players in a playground-style draft.

Klay Thompson is currently leading the NBA in three-point shooting percentage with a career-high 45.3%. Along with his solid work on the defensive end, Thompson is averaging 20.6 points per game with 4 rebounds and 2.5 assists.
Thompson’s shooting has somehow become even more deadly this season, and he’s been an important piece of the Warriors’ top-ranked offense.
Draymond Green admitted that he’s not playing his best basketball on the defensive end this season, but he has improved from his down year offensively in 2016-17.
He leads the Warriors in assists with 7.6 per game, and he’s scoring 11.3 points per game with an effective field goal percentage of 53.2%. He’s also grabbing 7.9 rebounds a game and blocking 1.3 shots per night.
When you have the best record in the NBA, you deserve to have four All-Stars. It will be fun to watch this group ball out on All-Star weekend.
