BROOKLYN, NY - JANUARY 15: Kyle O'Quinn

The Warriors currently have the best record in the NBA, but they still might be looking to improve their roster at the trade deadline. Knicks center Kyle O’Quinn has reportedly piqued Golden State’s interest.

When we discussed what the Warriors could possibly be looking for at the trade deadline, center looked like the only position that could use an upgrade.

David West has given Golden State very solid minutes off the bench and Jordan Bell has been promising, but the Warriors could use one more quality center on their roster to make their team more complete.

The Warriors host the Knicks on Tuesday night, which will allow them to get a closer look at a possible trade target in Kyle O’Quinn.

The Knicks roster has been overflowing with centers all season long, and they’ll likely look to move one or two of them at the trade deadline.

Despite all the talent New York has at center, Kyle O’Quinn has managed to get on the floor for 17 minutes per game this season. He’s averaging a career-high points per game (6.9), rebounds (5.8), and assists (2.0), and he boasts a very solid player efficiency rating of 19.7.

O’Quinn will turn 28 in March, so he could provide a younger option to soak up David West and Zaza’s minutes during the regular season. He could also play some power forward against bigger lineups.

I think O’Quinn could be a good fit for the Warriors, but it depends what they would have to give up in the trade. If Golden State doesn’t have to trade a player that’s currently in their rotation, or if they could move Pachulia, I think this could be a good trade deadline move.
