That two-way contract connection
If you don’t know who Quinn Cook is, you haven’t been paying close enough attention. As one of Golden State’s two-way contract players, Cook has been absolutely tearing up the G League all season.

Averaging 24.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and 8.1 assists in 36.0 minutes per game, Cook is the heart and soul of the Santa Cruz Warriors. Whether he’s leading them to victory or leaving it all out on the floor in a last-minute comeback attempt, the guy has consistently proven himself deserving of an NBA contract.
One of the things I appreciate most about Cook’s game is his ability to set up his big men for scoring opportunities. He’s a big part of why Damian Jones is scoring so efficiently.
My favorite play from Cook on Thursday involved fellow two-way contract player Chris Boucher, who’s just recently been activated after undergoing extensive rehab as he recovered from ACL surgery.
After setting a screen at the 1:14 mark, Cook comes back up to the top of the key to receive a pass. Cook could have very well looked to create his own shot, driving in to the paint after causing his defender to bite on the head fake.
Instead, Cook sees Boucher cutting backdoor and lobs it up for the alley-oop slam.
