Santa Cruz Warriors now 0-2 at Oracle Arena after loss to Spurs
The Santa Cruz Warriors lost 105-97 to the Austin Spurs at Oracle Arena on Sunday.
In just their second game ever at Oracle Arena — home of their NBA affiliate Golden State Warriors — the Santa Cruz Warriors lost 105-97 to the Austin Spurs on Sunday. The game remained highly contested for three quarters, but the Sea Dubs just didn’t have enough gas in the tank to put together a fourth quarter run to close out the night.
Santa Cruz is now 0-2 in their games at Oracle Arena. Looking at the overall picture, the Warriors have continued to gradually drop in the standings since the 2018 G League Showcase, now holding a regular season win/loss record of 17-15.
They will look to break a 2-game losing streak later in the week when they return to Surf City to host the Maine Red Claws at Kaiser Permanente Arena. This will close out Santa Cruz’s 7-game homestand, giving way to 2-game road trip that will feature the Northern Arizona Suns and the Salt Lake City Stars.
It all starts Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. PST.
